An exclusive from Giant Freakin Robot in December 2020 suggests we might. And I, for one, could not be happier. I loved the show, the 2005 movie, and I&#8217;m currently reading the comics that recount the period between the two. While it&#8217;s not totally clear on what might be coming, the report is that it will be a complete reboot. So no actors returning. And Joss Whedon might not even be involved.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mrmonkreadscomics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_1672.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-782\" src=\"https:\/\/mrmonkreadscomics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_1672.jpg\" alt=\"Preacher is tired of guns\" width=\"750\" height=\"399\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Firefly Reboot on Disney+<\/h3>\n<p>Another thing to consider is this reboot will likely get a PG rating. So some of the more adult aspects of the show and movie will be toned down. While this all has the makings of destroying a fan favorite series, I will definitely give it a try once its out.
