But Sue Storm-Richards is not about to let her only son be segregated from the family. Xavier and the mutants can be very persuasive though, even without using his psychic powers. And Kitty Pride and Franklin have a history. So her presence could be the factor that swings Franklin’s feelings toward joining the mutants.

X-Men/Fantastic Four #1

I have to say, this was a little emotional for me. What I mean is I feel for Reed and Sue as someone tries to convince their son to leave them. And anger is the emotion I brings out in me. Its a very well written and drawn issue. I see the points of both groups. The Richards family wants to keep their son safe with them. But Xavier and the mutants believe they can help Franklin stop his power from depleting. Its really cool to see this unfold with two groups against each other where neither is clearly wrong in their opinion.

Credits

Writer: Chip Zdarsky

Artist: Terry Dodson & Rachel Dodson

Colors: Laura Martin

Letters: Joe Cramagna

[the_ad id=”2284″]

Kitty and Franklin meet again after a long time apart.
