Unfortunately this admirer is setting off her spider-sense. That can’t be good, especially since she’s in a dimension that is not here own. One of her only friends on Earth-616 has gone missing. But another seems to have taken an extra interest in her. And back on Earth-65, Man-Wolf is still at large thanks to his father. But at least the Mary Janes are getting along, for the most part.

Ghost-Spider #4

I’m really glad I picked up this series as they re-set to number 1. It has been a really fun read. I love Miyazawa’s art work. Gwen is drawn really well and her action sequences are very entertaining. There’s really good use of sound in the action. A lot of times comics tend to try and make a sound with a bunch of jumbled letters that are hard to try and “hear” when you’re reading. But it’s done really well here. That may be a strange thing to appreciate, but I do.

The story is really fun and engaging. Gwen is given an awkward sense of humor that makes her really likeable. This issue had a lot of plot points going on at once, but was never overwhelming. The issue builds suspense and leaves us with a slight cliffhanger at the end.

[the_ad id=”2502″]

Credits

Writer: Seanan McGuire

Artist: Takeshi Miyazawa & Rosi Herring

Colors: Ian Herring

Letters: Clayton Cowles

[the_ad id=”2284″]

Gwen has a secret admirer in Ghost-Spider #4.
