We get to visit Kendra’s home in Jamaica in Buffy the Vampire Slayer #13. This issues focuses on her origin and how she came to be a slayer. She’s a little cocky and can get sloppy in her patrols. But she was in love with Jamaica and was the island’s protector. But when Buffy entered the Hellmouth, she was called to come to Sunnydale. Leaving her watcher Zabuto and her Aunt Vea behind.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer #13
This was a really good issue. I loved to see the back story of Kendra, a new character introduced in this Buffy reboot. It was really well written and a little heart breaking. Seeing her called away from her home so suddenly. Valero-O’Connell provides the best artwork I’ve seen on this series. I’m hoping for more of that to come.
