There is something very sinister going on in Gotham in Batman #89. And all the biggest players in villainy seem in on it. Including Catwoman. But as Batman works to get to the bottom of this plot, it appears Penguin is about to be eliminated from the plan. Can Batman see through all the smoke and mirrors before it’s too late?

Already into part 4 for Tynion’s “Their Dark Designs”. While I was excited for a new beginning in the Batman series, I’m not sure I like where it’s going. The villains of DC have always be sort of a main focus. But it seems they are constantly getting the better of Batman these days. Even with that being said, I have to stick around to see where this is going. We find out in this issue that one of Batman’s biggest foes is pulling some strings, but is his biggest ally also working against him?
