The final fight between Slayer and Hell Mother as come in Hell Mouth #5. The Hell Mother has taken possession of Angel’s body and only needs the Slayers’ blood to ascend and take over Sunnydale. But Buffy is not, and has never been alone. All of the gang from Sunnydale are on the way for assistance. And they are led by Anya and a giant bat. But there have been some casualties in this war. And the gang will never be the same, even if they win.

Hell Mouth #5
This was a decent end to a kind of lack luster event. I thought all in all the event was a little rushed. The two separate title of Buffy and Angel had not really even established all the characters before there is a huge, Earth-ending fight over the Hell Mouth. It really felt like the two titles did not mesh well together also. I’m not sure if the creative teams had a hard time collaborating or what the deal was. And I really need to talk about something that is a bit of a spoiler so here is your warning.
*Spoiler Alert*
It appears that Xander is dead. Which, to me, is rather ridiculous. There was an awful lot of time and effort put into him not dying and becoming a vampire to just have him die here. Which actually happened in the previous Buffy issue but Buffy finds out about it in this issue. But it just didn’t seem that him being saved as a half human – half vampire hybrid even brought really anything to the story. The soul tie saved him just so that he could give it back to Willow. And then Willow chooses to leave to study abroad. I just don’t get it. And I’m not a fan.
