NC Comicon 2019 Begins Today

NC Comicon 2019 begins today in downtown Durham. There are tons of creators to check out and vendors to explore. Tickets are for sale online or at the door. And don’t forget to check out the special Eastman pass for an exclusive VIP experience with Kevin Eastman (co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles if you didn’t know).

NC Comicon 2019 – Nov 8-10

Tickets for all three days start out at $50. The Eastman pass is $200 for the  VIP experience and special Kevin Eastman rewards. You can also get individual days for varying prices from $20 – $35 depending on which day you’re attending. I’m only going to be able to attend Sunday so that’s a bummer. But I should have enough time to meet a couple of creators and see plenty of cosplayers. If you look for me, we will be looking like this.

The Creators

I won’t list them all here but I will highlight some that I’m personally excited about. First is Kevin Eastman. I’ve been a fan of the Turtles forever so that’s going to be cool. Plus my son loves them now as well. His first bike was a Michelangelo themed bike. Eastman will only be there Saturday and Sunday so just be aware. You get one free autograph with your admission.

My next visit will be Mitch Gerads. I have liked his work on Batman and others. He is also an excellent follow on Twitter. He and Tom King seem to be good friends and can get pretty entertaining. Gerads will be there all three days. There’s no information on autograph and photo costs for Mitch on the website.

Another creator is Tini Howard. She has written Thanos and Captain America for Marvel. Currently she is working on Excalibur in the X-Men line. Howard is also credited with show writing such as Glow on Netflix. She will be in attendance all three days.

There are a bunch more I could name but I’m not going to do that here. Go check out the NC Comicon website and see all the guests and vendors. I hope to see you there.
