Naomi McDuffie has her new found powers and has come to Metropolis for Superman’s help in Action Comics #1015. Unfortunately she her landing skills are not exactly fine tuned. There are many other guest appearances, including the Wonder Twins, Ray Palmer and Batman. But Superman has the Red Cloud and Leviathan to also deal with.
I should have read the whole Naomi series. But I was already pulling so many DC books I stayed away. She is a very interesting character. And this issue is pretty good introducing her to DC’s big heroes. I really enjoyed it. You don’t necessarily have to have read Naomi either. I do feel like I’m missing a little but it was easy enough to follow along with Naomi’s inner dialogue.

Action Comics #1015
Right in the middle of the hunt for Leviathan, Naomi discovers her powers. Not only that, but there is a world destroying Super Villain after her. So after she crash lands into Metropolis, Superman brings her to Ray Palmer and the Wonder Twins for examination. She is unlike anything Superman has ever seen. And Batman joins in to help her get to the bottom of her origin.
With Naomi being taken care of by Batman and crew, Superman goes after Red Cloud. This fight goes pretty much how the last one did. Superman is not winning. And he needs to figure out how to fight a cloud fast. Plus Rose/Thorn is in the middle of things. So with Red Cloud’s expanded powers from Luthor, it may be up to Naomi to save Superman.
