Superman has caught up with Amanda Waller in Event Leviathan #4. But will that lead the team any closer to finding out who is Leviathan? And what exactly is their goal? It appears that multiple people are being set up while Leviathan carries out their plan. It could be that one of the decoys is actually the real thing. But for now, it looks as if Leviathan is every spy on the planet.
Credits and Thoughts
Event Leviathan #4 is written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Alex Maleev. Maleev’s art is stellar for this type of story. It’s dark and mysterious. The harsh lines give it a very gritty tone. The story is moving at a snail’s pace. But, that’s what you get when you basically stretch one or two days over six issues. The more that happens, the less I feel we know about Leviathan. And it is getting harder to see how this fits into the bigger DC Universe.

Superman has Amanda Waller in his grasp. So you’d think that answers are just around the corner…Right? Nope. Leviathan also found Amanda Waller. And they have Superman and Waller surrounded. But Superman has a plan. When the x-ray vision fails to see through the mask, he tries to engage in super-speed. But that also fails as Leviathan’s temporal energy move as fast, or faster to counter his attack. In the end, Leviathan has Amanda Waller and Superman is nowhere closer to finding out the answers.

Plan of Action
Now all the heroes are left with distrust and frustration. Green Arrow gets his feelings hurt when Superman asks to speak with only Batman and Lois. Manhunter is frustrated that she is being framed and has no clue as to why. Damien is determined to not get along with anyone. But Lois has a plan. And the team gets contacted by Batgirl. Who has infiltrated Leviathan undercover.
Superman and Plastic Man speed away to try and find Batgirl before they lose her signal. She believes they are somewhere in Seattle. But before Superman can arrive, it looks like the temporal energy zaps their location. Lois, using one of Batman’s Aston Martins, meets up with another group of detectives. And they claim to have some new information.
