Marvel’s Avengers Prologue Gameplay

Square Enix released some game play footage for their upcoming 2020 Marvel’s Avengers game. After playing nothing but Lego Superhero games for a while, this one looks stunning. Not that there is anything wrong with the Lego ones. I love playing them with my son. This trailer looks like you’re playing through the tutorial portion. There’s a mixture of smashing and button prompts to achieve certain objectives. I’m not sure if it goes through all the playable characters but we do see Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow and Captain America in action. Watch the trailer below.

 

 Marvel’s Avengers – Square Enix

The trailer for Marvel’s Avengers shows of some mechanics for each of the characters. It will be interesting to see how smooth the fighting and prompts will transition. I’m a pretty big fan of many Square Enix games so I feel like they will do a good job here. There will definitely be an original Avengers story to play through. The Avengers disband after the prologue A-Day events after many blame them for the disaster. You can also team up online with up to 4 players. One very surprising thing from the trailer though, is Cap dead? Maybe that explains why only 4 players online. Release date is May, 15th 2020. If you order through Amazon.com, they guarantee deliver on release day. Plus you get access to the Beta on PS4.
