Buffy the Vampire Slayer #11

Buffy is still out of commission and Sunnydale is falling apart in Buffy the Vampire Slayer #11. Willow is still struggling and its starting to hurt her relationships. Rose and Kendra saved Cordelia from Luke and now they are trying to make sense of why a new Slayer was called. Willow and Xander are patrolling but someone may need to save them from each other. And the Hellmother’s influence starts to manifest in Sunnydale. Also, Anya makes her presence felt to the group.

Robin losses his cool.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer #11

The novelty of a new spin on some favorite characters is starting to wear off. Which means the story is going to have to start standing on its own. I feel like the Hellmouth event was a little rushed. There wasn’t enough time to establish the characters before throwing them all into a huge, world ending disaster. Kendra was introduced with little explanation as to why a slayer was called in Buffy’s absence. I’m also not a huge fan of the artwork in Buffy. I’m still hoping the story will start to pick up some steam.

It’s not all bad. Cordelia’s character is pretty entertaining. I’m hoping that we see more of her in the group after the Hellmouth. Xander as a Vampire with a soul is also very interesting. And is Anya going to be mostly good or mostly bad. I have a feeling we are going to see her character play both sides a little.
